Comfortable space to spend the night on our trip. Host was easy to communicate and check in/out instructions were easy to follow. Plenty of space for the two of us to kick back and relax.

The castle is a wonderful pick for a small family or couple’s getaway! A balcony and community deck allow you to view the gorgeous sunsets and is within walking distance of downtown. Please be mindful that if you have issues with mobility there are quite a few steps to navigate getting on the property. Would definitely stay here again!! Suzie was so friendly and we wish her the best with the Castle!

The lakeside suite was truly wonderful, very private and peaceful with a great view of the lake from the private deck. Suzie was friendly, responsive, and provided everything for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the Castle! Suzie was an excellent hostess, and the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and homey while faithful to the history of the place.

had a wonderful experience during our stay! the sunsets and sunrises were to die for! very spacious and had a great homey feel to our suite! bed's were incredibly comfortable and was stocked with everything needed for our longer stay! Suzie was nothing shy of an incredible host! always made sure we were taken care of and was readily available to answer questions and to be of help. would love to visit again and highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Shorewood Suites. The lakeside suites was charming and had fantastic views of the lake. We loved the private second floor deck. We will definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. Watched beautiful sunsets over the lake. Drank coffee in the morning on the balcony overlooking the water while listening to the birds. When I asked Suzie prior to our stay if there was a place for my grandson to fish at the property, she not only told me he could fish off the dock but she even put a fishing rod in the apartment for him to use. Ortonville was a friendly laid back town. All in all a very relaxing time.

We absolutely loved our stay! Beautiful area with lots to explore. Suzie was a great host and was quick to respond to all our questions. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful lake retreat!
